T he Fletcher School at Tufts University is sponsoring a lecture by Keith Reinhard, Chairman of DDB Worldwide, one of the largest global advertising agency networks in the world, with 206 offices in 96 countries. Mr. Reinhard is also president of Business for Diplomatic Action, which works with US multinational companies to reduce anti-American sentiment overseas. Event is free and open to the public. WorldBoston presents Ambassador Ronen Sen, Ambassador of India to the United States, at a luncheon. Prior to assuming his current position in 2004, Mr. Sen served fourteen years in a variety of positions: as Ambassador to Mexico (one year), to the Russian Federation (six years), Germany (four years) and United Kingdom (two years.) From 1986-91, Mr. Sen was Joint Secretary to the Prime Minister of India and responsible for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Science & Technology. T his year's Northeast Buyers Mission, the largest of the year, will feature retail and food service industry buyers from 20 countries in Western and Eastern Europe, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Mexico and Canada. These buyers are actively looking for new products in the U.S. Last year, this mission produced over $1.3 million in actual sales, and nearly 400 new distributor relationships were formed. Join the Mass. Alliance for International Business (MAIB), an affiliate of A.I.M., at "Latin America Forecast: 2006", co-sponsored with New England- Latin America Business Council (NELABC). A panel of experts will discuss the latest financial, political and economic trends in Latin America, and how these trends will affect exporters, importers, and foreign companies' branch operations. Panelists include Walter Molano, Partner and Head of Economic and Financial Research, BCP Securities, Greenwich, CT; Sylvia Maxfield, Professor of Management at Simmons Graduate School of Management, Boston; and Ricardo Amorim, Head of Latin American Research, WestLB, NY, NY.
