J oin the Mass. Alliance for International Business (MAIB), an affiliate of A.I.M., at "Latin America Forecast: 2006", co-sponsored with New England- Latin America Business Council (NELABC). A panel of experts will discuss the latest financial, political and economic trends in Latin America, and how these trends will affect exporters, importers, and foreign companies' branch operations. Panelists include Walter Molano, Partner and Head of Economic and Financial Research, BCP Securities, Greenwich, CT; Sylvia Maxfield, Professor of Management at Simmons Graduate School of Management, Boston; and Ricardo Amorim, Head of Latin American Research, WestLB, NY, NY. The German-American Business Council is sponsoring this panel about German investment--in Germany, Eastern Europe, China, India, even the U.S. Panelists will discuss the tough decisions faced by German manufacturing, software, and services companies, responding to the risks and opportunities of globalization. Panelists include Matthias Grossmann, Pres. and CEO, IBS America; Lorenz Reibling, Board Chair, Taurus Investment Group; Axel Tillmann, VP Marketing and Sales, ENIRA Technologies; Ulrich Kaemmerer, Roedl Lanford de Kock; and Tycho H.E. The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women's Network Breakfast presents Swanee Hunt, director of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and Ambassador to Austria from 1993- 97. Ms. Hunt is an international authority on foreign affairs, a syndicated columnist, and the author of numerous articles. She is a specialist on the role of women in post-Communist Europe. W orld Boston presents a Luncheon with Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, III--named Presidential Envoy to Iraq in May 2003. As Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority, he led efforts to restore Iraq's economy and build an open democratic political system. Mr. Bremer successfully handed over power to the interim government of Iraq in June 2004.
