PANEL DISCUSSION: July 10, Thurs.—“Investing in the Massachusetts Immigrant Workforce,” 7:30am, Boston
Citizens Bank and the English Works Campaign present this breakfast panel discussion hosted and moderated by Larry Fish, Chairman, RBS Americas and Citizens Financial Group. The panel will talk about immigrant labor force trends and proven models for delivering English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction at the workplace. Panelists include Lisa Zankman, Sr. VP Human Resources, Beth-Israel Deaconess Center; Bill Vernon, Director, National Federation of Independent Business, Mass.; Alvaro Lima, Research Director, Boston Redevelopment Authority; Rev. The American Australian Association, New England, invites members and friends to this evening of films, featuring the latest award-winning short films from Australia. TRADE SHOW: October 7-9—“Biotechnica 2008,” Hannover, Germany
The Mass. Office of International Trade & Investment (MOITI) invites interested Mass. companies to participate in the Massachusetts pavilion at Biotechnica. Massachusetts companies participating at the pavilion receive an individual display unit, listing in the print and on-line trade show catalog, bilingual support staff, and other services. This trade show will attract more than 13,000 trade visitors from around the world and over 900 exhibitors showcasing biotechnology products and services. TRADE SHOW: Nov. 19-22—“MEDICA 2008,” Dusseldorf, Germany
MEDICA is the largest and internationally most significant medical technology trade show worldwide. The Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment (MOITI) reports that over half of its Mass. Pavilion booth space is already sold for this show. Pavilion participants receive a variety of services, including individual display units, signage, and listing in the show catalog.
