The events calendar is getting crowded again, now that summer (though not summer weather) is coming to an end. Plan now to attend an international business event!

SEMINAR: Sept. 17, Wed.--”Web Revolution for Business,” 8am, Cambridge
Hosted by the US Commercial Service and the Mass. Export Center, this seminar is presented by Google, Fedex, and Baker & McKenzie to help participants improve their international business development efforts through on-line resources. Learn how to build a low-cost international marketing campaign, how to determine which on-line inquiries are legitimate, how to optimize your web presence and increase on-line sales, how to gather information on buyers, and how to conform to international laws. Speakers include Brian Schmidt of Google, Samuel Kramer of Baker & McKenzie, and Robert Day of Fedex. Google will offer a tour after the event, along with a box lunch. SEMINAR: Sept. 18-19, Wed.-Thurs. - "Basics of Exporting," 8am, Middleboro
EXIM Associates presents this seminar about exporting, including export payment terms, mandatory automated (AES) filing requirements, and payment methods. The recently-founded Beacon Hill International Symposia are intended to engage and educate American citizens about the role of the US in world affairs. This first seminar of the fall features Dr. Joseph S. Nye, Jr., former Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School and current university distinguished Service Professor at Harvard's John F. WORKSHOP: Sept. 23, Tues. - "Start-up Opportunities in Life Sciences in Lyon, France," 6:30pm, Cambridge
The Lyon Area Economic Development Agency (ADERLY) and the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACCNE) present this event in partnership with Xconomy's conference. At this workshop, you can meet with entrepreneurs, business coaches and representatives of the Lyon bio-cluster and learn why and how to start a tech venture in France.
