International trade, and exports in particular, have been in the news of late. Front-page stories in the Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal and other publications indicate that exports from the US are up significantly, primarily because of the lower value of the dollar, but also for a variety of other reasons. So now is a good time to enter or expand your presence in overseas markets! Read on for opportunities to learn more about global economic opportunities.

GOVERNOR PATRICK TRADE MISSION TO CHINA
We've received word that Governor Deval Patrick and a small group of leaders from Mass. business, higher education and state government are likely to visit Beijing and Shanghai in early December 2007. We understand that this trade mission will be focused primarily on two industry sectors: renewable energy and life sciences. As with most trade missions, delegates will have the opportunity to meet with senior-level Chinese officials and industry specialists. SBA EXTENDS EXPORT EXPRESS LENDING PROGRAM The SBA recently extended its Export Express program to assist small exporters with their financial needs, particularly revolving lines of credit. Export Express terms and conditions closely follow those of the SBA Express loan guaranty, but carry the 75-85 percent guaranty of the standard 7 (a) loan.
