Comments from MAIB's Executive Director Kristen Rupert......
Trade ties between Massachusetts and Asia were strengthened in the past week through several events. The Korean Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Lee Tae-Sik, was in Boston on Dec. 5 to meet with business leaders and enlist their support for the pending Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the US and Korea. On December 8, Governor Deval Patrick returned from a week-long trade mission to China along with state officials, higher education leaders, and business executives. Both of these face-to-face events are likely to produce dividends for Massachusetts companies involved with international trade.

Events are winding down during this busy season. Happy Holidays!
