Health Commissioner Answers Employer Questions about H1N1

Massachusetts Public Health Commissioner John Auerbach and members of his senior staff conducted a Webinar for AIM members October 5 on preparing for the H1N1 flu. Seventy-six employers from throughout the commonwealth listened, learned and asked questions for several hours. AIM plans a second Webinar with Commissioner Auerbach in the near future. Here were some of the most common questions.

House Endorses Pandemic Preparation Bill

The Massachusetts House of Representatives passes a disaster preparedness bill that would broaden the authority of state officials to respond to a flue pandemic or other crisis. AIM believes the House bill takes a practical approach that ensures public health without threatening commercial activity. House members will now reconcile their version of the bill with one passed earlier by the Senate.
