André Mayer, Senior Vice President for
Communications and Research, directs AIM’s research and policy
development supporting the association’s legislative, public
affairs and member-services programs. He also assists members in
locating economic information. Mr. Mayer's responsibilities
include preparation of the monthly Business Confidence Index and
Massachusetts Export Index, and editing the AIM’s
Legislative Bulletin and Business & Industry Reporter.
He also represents the Association in activities concerning a range of
issues including education and workforce development.
Mr. Mayer was
educated at Harvard College and the University of California,
Berkeley.
Prior to joining
AIM in 1992, he was director of planning for the state's Board of
Regents of Higher Education and Higher Education Coordinating
Council. He has also served on the
staffs of the New England Board of Higher Education and its Commission
on Higher Education and the New England Economy, and of the National
Institute for Public Affairs in Washington.
He serves on the boards the Massachusetts Business Alliance for
Education, the New England Economic Partnership (of which he is a former
president), and other organizations.
