The AIM International Business Council is calling
for nominations for its annual Global Trade Awards. Deadline for
Nominations is Mar. 12. These awards honor companies, individuals or
organizations that demonstrate leadership and best practices in
international business. Winners receive their awards at the AIM Annual
Meeting May 14, and extensive media coverage is also provided to the
honorees. More than 60 Mass. companies have won the award over the past

International Trade Commission Export Study meetings, 9am-5pm,
Boston
The US International Trade Commission is conducting an Export Study with
Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Any exporter can participate in
either the morning or the afternoon meetings on each day and present
feedback on export barriers and related issues. The Commission is
particularly interested in meeting with biotech, chemical, and
nanotechnology companies. This is an opportunity for exporters to be
heard by senior officials from Washington DC. Location of roundtables is

Northeastern University’s Center for Emerging Markets presents
this second webinar in a six-webinar series. This session on Brazil will
feature Professors Afonso Fleury and Maria Tereza Fleury of the
University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This series is based on the book
“Emerging Multinationals in Emerging Markets,” by Professor

SEMINAR: Mar. 25, Thurs. - “TSA Certified Cargo Screening
Program,” 10am, Boston
The Mass. Export Center presents this vital seminar for companies that
are “Known Shippers” in the TSA database. As of August 2010,
the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will require 100%
screening of all cargo on passenger aircraft. This will dramatically
affect the processing and efficiency of air cargo exports. Panel
speakers include federal government representatives and local logistics
companies’ executives. Seminar begins at 10am and ends at 4pm.

CONFERENCE: MARCH 25, Thurs. - “Aerospace &
Defense,” 10am, Hartford, CT
The Canadian Consulate is planning a one-day conference for New England
executives interested in the aerospace and defense industries. The
plenary session from 10am-noon will include two Canadian industry
experts and two US industry experts. The networking lunch will have a
mini-expo of Canadian companies. Event venue is the Hartford Marriott.
