About Massachusetts Alliance for International BusinessThe Massachusetts Alliance for International Business (MAIB), a research and educational foundation affiliated with Associated Industries of Massachusetts (A.I.M.), helps Massachusetts businesses identify and profit from opportunities in global commerce. MAIB educates and assists companies new to international trade as well as experienced global competitors. Throughout all of its initiatives, MAIB strives to improve the state's economic vitality and enhance its leadership in the global economy. PROGRAMS AND SERVICES: · News Bulletin: sent bi-weekly via e-mail to provide notices of upcoming events and other items of interest to the international business community. · Trade Forums, Seminars and Roundtables: scheduled periodically to provide companies and individuals the opportunity to gain knowledge and learn from experienced international trade colleagues. · International Trade Achievement Awards: presented each year to recognize excellence among businesses that export or provide global leadership for other Massachusetts companies · Massachusetts Export Competitiveness Indicator: produced quarterly, to track export trends and report on growth markets by geography and by product. · Referrals: made regularly, to link Mass. businesspeople and firms to international trade experts, agencies, companies, consultants, export data and other information sources. PARTICIPATION:Any firm, organization, company or individual interested in international trade may participate in MAIB programs and receive the bi-weekly news bulletin. GOVERNANCE: A 25-member Board of Directors oversees MAIB policy and programs. Comprised of leaders in manufacturing, higher education, law, finance, services and government, the Board has members from across the state. MAIB is funded primarily by tax-deductible contributions.
