Bob is responsible for growing the membership of AIM and ensuring that members receive measurable value from their investment. A graduate of Northeastern University, Bob brings extensive experience in sales, account management and customer service.

John Regan President & Chief Executive Officer
John R. Regan became President and Chief Executive Officer of Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) in May after leading the organization’s government affairs operation for 18 years. Mr. Regan leads a statewide association of 3,500 employers that provides advocacy, community and resources as a strategy to create success, well-being, growth, equity and prosperity. Before joining AIM, John served as Executive Vice President for Operations at MassDevelopment, the state’s economic development agency, where he interacted with many AIM members on specific projects.

Brooke M. Thomson Executive Vice President Government Affairs

Brooke M. Thomson, most recently VP of Government Affairs for AT&T, is also a former senior official with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office. Thomson joined AT&T in 2013 after six years in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, where she served as Chief of the Business, Technology and Economic Development Division. Prior to that, she worked as legal counsel to the Massachusetts Legislature’s Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy. Thomson is no stranger to AIM. She has served as a member of the AIM Board of Directors and Executive Committee and chaired the board’s Government Affairs Committee for the past year. Thomson is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Mount Holyoke College.

Christopher P. Geehern Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Communications

Chris has spent almost two decades keeping Massachusetts employers informed about issues, developments and management practices that affect their business. Chris brings a background in daily journalism to the job of providing useful intelligence to AIM members through the AIM Business Insider blog, the Business Weekly and HR Edge e-newsletters, and social media.

Cindy Lyman Executive Vice President, Administration & Finance

Cindy is responsible for directing, managing, reporting and achieving AIM’s financial goals and business strategies. She views herself a guardian of AIM’s future, responsible to AIM members to secure and strengthen AIM’s financial position, meeting needs of today and anticipating requirements of tomorrow. Lyman joined AIM in 2011 bringing with her a diverse finance, accounting and operations career spanning over thirty years.

Gary MacDonald Executive Vice President

Gary MacDonald has worked with hundreds of Massachusetts employers on leadership development, organizational effectiveness and HR management. Gary brings to AIM three decades of business experience with global companies such as Thomson Financial and General Electric, and his expertise ranges from facilitating strategic planning with top management to through teaching foundational management skills to brand new supervisors.

Kristen Rupert SVP External Affairs & Exec. Director, AIM International Business Council

Kristen identifies opportunities for AIM to strengthen its brand in the business community, with a current focus on women in business.  Kristen also helps AIM member companies expand their global business activities.  She’s a member of the International Policy Committee of the US Chamber of Commerce and has participated in trade missions led by the Massachusetts governor to Central and South America, Western Europe, the Middle East and Canada.  She’s a graduate of Cornell University.
